Since 2003 the Menokin Foundation has hosted a music festival to help achieve its mission. This year, Menokin is teaming up with another historic site, Fairfield located in Gloucester County, to provide an expanded choice of family-oriented heritage activities during the event. We will also have a larger group of craft vendors participating and as always will have great food and adult beverages.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to saving: Menokin, home of Declaration of Independence signer Francis Lightfoot Lee, in Warsaw; and Fairfield, the 17th and 18th century plantation of the Burwell family in Gloucester. The goal of both of our foundations is to preserve these historic sites and involve the public in our efforts through educational programs. Most of all, we want to make Menokin and Fairfield centers for community activities and places that celebrate the unique character of the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula.
